The answer is yes. You can easily change your nickname by doing the following steps;
1. In the Social Tab, tap your profile. If you do not know where the said tab is refer to the image below in red indicator.
2. Upon opening, you should be able to edit or modify your nickname directly from from your profile. Just tap the dedicated bar for the nickname. See red indicator.
4. After entering, you should now see your new nickname in the game and profile.
