When you are low on energy and you want to continue questing, you can use a gem to refresh your energy to full. The higher your account level and maximum energy, the bigger benefit you get out of using gems to refresh your energy.
In Brave Frontier, you can refresh your energy through the Shop or by tapping on the quest you want to complete. Each refresh of energy costs 1 gem.

One way to utilize your quest runs in Metal Parades, Jewel Parades, and other Vortex Dungeons by setting the number of gems in the Quest Repeat Setting.
